 while thunar does the job it is still a bit hard to get used to it as a former nautilus user.. so i prefer to get nautilus with its nice bookmarks back. here's how it's done (copied from [[http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=6807336&postcount=4|this post]]):
